Is it common that spaying a purebred chihuahua can cause bad behavioral problems? Such as chewing furniture?

This is a sweet, gent;e puupy who was spayed 1 month ago and has all her adult teeth. Her new behavior is she started chewing furniture, digging at the rug,acting bored all the time, and whining alot. She has 3 other pets in the home that were here before her spay..there have been no changes in how she is treated or fed...etc...
