Be honest if MJ didn't have those extravagant videos and concerts, just his music, would he be as popular?

Well without his concerts and music videos he wouldn't have been able to show off his groundbreaking dancing skills, if that's what you mean. But I never experienced his concerts and have only seen the really popular music videos (Thriller, Beat It, Billie Jean, etc.) and am still a huge fan of his music, so I'd say yeah, he still would be popular. His music was, and still is, legendary in itself.
