Samsung LN32B460 32" LCD TV in standard definition and HD question?

Im planning on getting a Samsung LN32B460 32" LCD TV based on its rating as the best 32" tv. I want to know how well it looks in standard definition, and it says it has "built-in digital (ATSC) and og (NTSC) tuners for over-the-air TV broadcasts (antenna required) * built-in QAM cable TV tuner receives unscrambled programs without a set-top box (cable service required) * 1366 x 768 pixels *" Now, a friend told me that i would be able to pick up Hd channels if i had some kind of receiver like this? Will i be able to do this? If not, what will i have to do to get the tv to give me hd channels without paying for them from my service provider?
