Why is my car having trouble idling?

it sounds like you may need to advance your timing . first you may want to reset your idle speed . Then loosen the bolt that holds the distributor . while the car is running , turn the distributor a little to the right and listen to how it idles if its worse then turn it the other way . when you get a good idle speed then re tighten the distributor and you're on your way . hope that works for you .
