Mii stats on Wii Sports gone.?

Alright I'm trying to understand something completely. My little brother in all his wisdom decided to put a bunch of our Mii's into the Parade or whatever that is. Come to find all of the records and stats and etc. are gone in the game afterwards. Can someone explain why did that happen and is there a way to get them back?
