Rear end collision, my fault, suggestions?

I'm uming you live in the USA. You are required to report accidents within 10 days, regardless of who is paying for what. You never said if you were given a ticket. Who said it was your fault? Not all rear-end collisions are the fault of the driver who hit the other. In RARE cases, no ticket is issued, making it a "no-fault" accident. Meaning, your insurance company pays for your damages and hers pays for her damage, including the harp. NEVER admit fault, even if you are sure that you caused the accident. Could be, the other driver was not wearing his/her prescription gles or was not even licensed to drive, was ordered by their doctor not to drive due to a medical condition, or a ton of other cirstances you're not aware of. Call your insurance agent and see what they have to say about it and ask them about your premiums going up. Good luck!
